Rapunzel Rapunzel

I finally finished coloring this piece. Its the colored version of one of my illustrations based on the Grimm's Fairy tales. Its my take on the story Rapunzel.

Hold that pose...

So I managed to sketch this up today. I'm on overtime for the movie till the end of this week. A lot of late nights. By the time I make it home I basically pass out, but tonight I'm straining to keep awake to post this.

I also have to finish the topic for drawergeeks by the end of this week. That will be posted Friday on the website and possibly this weekend on my blog. For the topic I decided to test out some different colors in the painting. Hopefully I get it done on time and don't slack on what needs finishing. Why is hair so much fun to draw but when you have to paint it its a tad difficult?

On a great note. Guess who gets next week off. That's right all that list I posted previously is going to get done. Be prepared for many sketches coming your way next week. Starbucks won't be able to get rid of me. Hold tight my lovelies more to come.

Little Mermaid Sketches

So I was just sketching a bit today and thought I'd try my hand at Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid. Plus Little Mermaid is my other sisters favorite fairytale. I know its Hans Christian Anderson and not Grimm's but I couldn't resist. Plus I very much admire Glen Keane who was supervising animator for Ariel on the movie.

My Hey Arnold Shoes Signed By The Creator Craig Bartlett

So I had the wonderful opportunity of finding that Craig Bartlett the creator of the Nickelodeon show Hey Arnold worked at The Henson Studio while I was working on Sid the Science Kid. I draw on shoes and I had made a Hey Arnold pair just because I love the show. I wore them to work and the producer saw my shoes and went and got Craig to sign them for me. He was a great guy and now I have my shoes signed by the creator of one of my favorite shows. Even better is it happened on my birthday so it was a great gift. Just thought I'd share with you guys what they look like and the story behind it.

I'm hoping to really keep up with this and update often so please bear with me if I'm MIA for a while. I will be posting in between work and my personal down time.
